for eco-friendly reception centerpieces -- what other creative things could you repurpose or reuse as vases?

  1. We are actually just having dried curly willow as our centerpieces, so since they don't need water, we technically don't need vases. I was thinking of covering some pvc pipe with pretty vintage fabric, but I haven't tested it out yet. I'm excited to read everyone's ideas!

  3. Hello!! I am new to this blog and I can't tell you how much time I've spent going through all of your posts! Beautiful!

(I mentioned you in my own blog, hope you don't mind.)

  4. Great Idea! I am always looking for ways to reuse jars and candle jars, and vases. Great centerpieces as well as "well wishes" jars at the guest book table!

  5. My mother has been collecting old glass milk bottles, medicine bottles, etc. from our family's farm for years. These will be our "vases" for our centerpieces.

I realize this option is not available to everyone, but maybe Ebay or garage sales can provide similar items. Even better if your relatives have old jars sitting around!

  6. Thanks for showing my Crown Mason Jars. They are so hard to photograph well to reveal the great detail!

Another idea I love is to collect fabulous old ceramic creamers from thrift stores. There are so many single ones out there that remain from tea sets long gone. How pretty to have a cluster of different creamers on each table with wildflowers!

(I have a collection if anyone is interested)...

  7. Beautiful! Perfect inspiration for the oak shelving we're putting up. Back on the weddingy topic, I love the antique milk bottles idea as well.

  8. these are some very good ideas... i got my wedding vases from a thrift store... they happened to have enough that were similar, i think i only had to get 2 or 3 new ones.

  9. We've scrounged up mismatched silverplate coffee and tea sets. Because they're all the same color, they look nice together. I can't wait to get rid of them once the wedding's over! They take up a lot of space!

  10. I'm always looking for vases to decor the bride's house with flowers, water, dagrees or just the way they are , but i must admit that i seldom have the chance to buy vintage ones because in italy vintage is really toooo expencive..like and more than a new one!! arghhh :-)
    fantastic board

  11. vintage tins are always fun. I have had brides bring their collection to me, which we then fill with really punchy flowers. Other good cheap finds are things like old pitchers, silver tea sets (sometimes you can find these super cheap with lots of pieces included.) Vintage juice glasses for color!

  13. I love the old glassware. This would make such a great statement at a wedding. It could even be painted to add more interests.
