with the bizarre non-winter we've had, DC flora and fauna (people included) are confused. The trees in front of the Kennedy Center were blooming three weeks ago, and on a run on the 15th I saw dozens (dozens!) of robins. Dudes, you are not supposed to be here yet.

(I AM NOT COMPLAINING, winter gods. PLEASE DO NOT SEND A MAKE-UP WINTER.)

anyway, it's March! Time to clean up and get the old act together: a little face scrub, a little blog tending. And while some might say giving soap as a gift sends the wrong message (to your dirty, dirty friends), I'm in... favor.

good lord, would you look at the tiny plant. talk about a cool, interesting favor or placecard or whatnot. you can customize the tag and get an air or "dirt" plant in the teensy terrarium.

plus i'm in love with the other stylish options in test tubes and pyrex and concrete.

my world is totally upside down, so this week will be a bit spotty in the posting -- good things are going on off-blog, friends!

was in NYC last weekend, stopped by brooklyn flea on sunday where (before it rained) i ran into wai sze, who i featured last september. not only does she make gorgeous tin favor boxes, which are even cuter in person, she has expanded her line into these awesome little handmade scrapbooks that fit inside -- check out the wedding photo one below:



was sad that it rained (although i did manage to stuff my craw with delicious pupusas and tamales, worth going just to eat), there were lots of other etsy folks out i didn't get to see. if you're in NY, i recommend!

simplyseasonal: handmade seasonal treats

maybe i'm a little hungry. maybe i'm about to eat my own desk here at work. then i open up etsy, and i see: raspberry cream caramels. and strawberry. not to mention... caramel popcorn. o. m. g. *so* hungry.

cathy makes amazing looking and sounding treats based on the season (summer treats available through august 31, and check out the flavors for fall. would be awesome for a fall wedding!) -- also check out her feedback, sounds like things *taste* as good as they look.
